With nearly 70 years of combined experience there's few questions or concerns that can stump our knowledgable staff. Read on to learn more about the Bicycles of Tulsa team and their background in the greatest sport in the world.

Patrick Coyle
Owner
Pat was raised in Iowa where he started working on bicycles in the 70’s. He moved to Tulsa in 1979 and graduated from Spartan School of Aeronautics. In 1987 he opened Bicycles of Tulsa and has been involved in Tulsa’s cycling community ever since. Pat has been a familiar face at Oklahoma’s Freewheel ride for more than two decades, best known for riding his vintage single speed Schwinn Phantom the duration of the tour across the state. From Freewheel to Tulsa Tough and everything in between he has been there to help the sport of cycling grow and flourish in Tulsa.

Todd Swain
Service Manager + General Manager
Todd started working for Bicycles of Tulsa in 1996 when he was 16 years old starting as a bike builder at our previous location at 31st and Mingo. Todd got his start in cycling as a mountain bike racer in the 90’s. Over the past 16 years Todd has developed his skills to be the master mechanic he is now. Todd has seen the store through two moves to its current location and is now Bicycles of Tulsa’s general manager and shop manager.

Scott Eckes
Sales Manager
Scott began working with Bicycles of Tulsa in 1998 on the sales floor at the age of 17. Over the years Scott has raced bicycles across several disciplines with great success in cyclocross. He continued to work while attending OSU-Tulsa where he received his bachelor’s degree in marketing with a minor in international business. Scott enjoys traveling about as much as he enjoys time on the saddle and has vacationed all across the globe. Scott has also seen the store move twice to settle in its current location where he is a part owner and sales manager.

Joshua Downs
Sales Associate
Josh has been working for Bicycles of Tulsa on the sales floor since 2010 and has been an active member of the local cycling community for over 10 years. Josh is at home on the mountain where he’s not only been racing bicycles for over a decade, but also spent some time as a competitive climber. While mountain bike racing is his forte he’s also dabbled in cyclocross races and road biking and has a vast knowledge of all disciplines of bicycles.

Andrew Wacker
Sales Associate
Andrew is the newest member of the Bicycles of Tulsa team, starting in the spring of 2011. Andrew has been racing road bikes for 7 years, most recently for Bicycles of Tulsa’s Race Team which led him to the sales floor in the shop. Andrew is probably best known as the owner of Elle, BOT’s full-time shop dog.

Jess McLearan
Service
Jess is Bicycles of Tulsa’s full-time service associate, a position he’s held for 7 years. Jess began as a bike builder and has developed his skills to be a worthy apprentice under Service Manager Todd Swain.
